Students from Aberystwyth tackle litter and Himalayan balsam in Newtown

The parishes of Llanllwchaiarn and Newtown organised a week of community action during June and 42 students came across from Aberystwyth to join in and help out. They litter picked from Llanllwchaiarn church along the river walk to town and on Trehafren Hill. They swept the cigarette ends and grime off the steps by the Elephant and Castle and pulled up a small mountain of Himalayan balsam. Here are some photos of what they got up to.
Our thanks go to all of the students for the great work they did for Newtown.
