Cwm Harry Community Garden is blooming

Cwm Harry Community Garden received a grant from Keep Wales Tidy earlier this year and is beginning to see the fruits of volunteers' labours, with the roundhouse now completed as a meeting place and shelter for volunteers. The micro allotment plots are bulging with healthy looking vegetable and salad crops and the flower beds provide food for a wide variety of insects, birds and wildlife. It is a wonderful place to visit, where the helpers are always friendly and ready to offer advice on gardening matters. The main open garden session is on Wednesdays at the Cwm Harry Land Trust site on the Vastre Industrial Estate, Newtown.

As I said, the helpers offer a warm welcome! (This is Steve, who leads the project with Emma.)
