River fly sampling on the Mochdre Brook

Paula Scott, of the River Severn Custodians, and I carried out our second sampling of river fly larvae on the Mochdre brook in Newtown last week. Fortunately there are no photos of the 3 minute river dance, where you scuff up the stones and gravel with your feet to release the fly larvae into the water, catching them in a net for counting! Thanks to Paula for these photos of the counting process.
